Jefferey D Evans Obituary, Death; – The Kansas City Police Department identified a man who was killed over the weekend in a crash.
Police said officers responded to the area of eastbound Interstate 670 and U.S. Route 71 around 11:15 p.m. on reports of a fatal crash. Preliminary investigation indicated that a red, white and blue Honda Africa Twin motorcycle was traveling east on I-670 when it attempted to change lanes to take the Interstate 29/Interstate 35 entrance ramp.
As the motorcycle tried to move over, it struck the right passenger side of a blue Dodge Charger traveling east on I-670. The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified as Jefferey D. Evans, 37.
The driver and passenger in the Dodge were uninjured.
The investigation is ongoing.
