Jake Wagner Obituary, Death;- Authorities have released the name of the individual who passed away following a single-vehicle accident in Dunn County. The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Jake Wagner, a resident of the Durand area.
As reported by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on 960th Street, south of 1010th Street, in the Town of Springbrook at approximately 9:25 p.m. A 911 caller indicated that the vehicle was engulfed in flames with one occupant inside.
Upon the arrival of deputies, they discovered a Jeep in a ditch that had collided with a tree. The fire, which was limited to a tire, had been extinguished by bystanders. The vehicle sustained significant damage.
The driver was found deceased within the vehicle.
An initial investigation revealed that the vehicle seemed to have experienced a mechanical failure, leading the driver to lose control. Consequently, the vehicle entered the ditch, partially rolled over, and collided with a tree.
