Comarri Thompson Obituary, Death; – Authorities are conducting an investigation following a shooting incident that resulted in one fatality and another individual sustaining injuries in North Austin.
This marks the 34th murder investigation in Austin for the year 2025.
According to police reports, on July 19, at approximately 2:07 a.m., officers responded to a hotshot call regarding a shooting/stabbing at 804 East Braker Lane. The caller was in distress, requesting assistance and indicating that she had been shot while another person was deceased.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman who made the call along with a male victim. Both individuals had sustained gunshot wounds.
The male victim was identified as Comarri Thompson, the boyfriend of the woman. He succumbed to his injuries. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of her wounds.
The investigation revealed that the couple was seated in their vehicle at the intersection of Braker Lane and Dessau Road when another vehicle approached and opened fire on them multiple times. The assailant’s vehicle subsequently fled the scene.
