Brian Pine Obituary, Death; – The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has identified a suspect who was fatally shot during an incident involving deputies on Friday night.

According to the Colorado Springs police, El Paso County deputies were dispatched to Tranters Creek Way in Security-Widefield shortly after 11:30 p.m. following a neighbor’s report of a disturbance that may have involved a firearm.

Upon their arrival, deputies reported finding a gun in the driveway and made contact with a man and a woman inside the residence.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) stated that the male individual became confrontational with deputies when they attempted to apprehend him. It was reported that he seized and activated the taser belonging to one of the deputies.

Following the deployment of the taser, CSPD indicated that two deputies discharged their weapons at the suspect, hitting him.

Medical assistance was rendered to the suspect by Security Fire and deputies; however, CSPD confirmed that he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

On Monday, the coroner confirmed the identity of the suspect as 59-year-old Brian Pine.

During the altercation, CSPD reported that two deputies from El Paso County sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital.

The investigation into this incident has been assumed by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
