Blake Peters Obituary, Death; – A 35-year-old Ellinwood man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office says at about 4:45 p.m., deputies responded to the crash south of town at SE 105 Avenue and SE 20 Road. They found a 2007 GMC Yukon was southbound on SE 105 Avenue when it failed to negotiate the curve onto SE 20th Road. The SUV left the roadway and rolled into an open area multiple times. The driver, identified as Blake Peters, was ejected and died at the scene.
The sheriff’s office believes excessive speed and alcohol were both contributing factors in the crash.
