Jordan Phillip Daughaday Obituary, Death; – Excessive speed led to a deadly crash that killed a motorcyclist in Hickory on Sunday, police say.

The crash happened along North Center Street near 22nd Avenue Northwest a few minutes after 9 p.m. on July 20. When police arrived, they found a 2016 Nissan Frontier and a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle involved in the wreck.

Police said the driver of the Nissan was turning left onto North Center Street when the motorcycle crashed into the pickup. The motorcyclist, 38-year-old Jordan Phillip Daughaday of Taylorsville, died at the scene.

No charges have been filed in connection with the wreck at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Hickory Police at 828-328-5551.
