Leonard Schupp Obituary, Death; Man driving 1965 Ford F100 killed in 3-car crash Friday in Douglas County

Leonard Schupp Obituary, Death; – A 51-year-old man from Oskaloosa, Kansas, passed away on Friday afternoon, July 18, after the 1965 Ford F100 he was operating was hit by a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction.

As reported by the Kansas Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2012 Ford Focus was moving westbound on U.S. 40 Highway near the 370.6 mile marker when they entered the eastbound lanes of the highway.

The Focus initially collided with a 2021 Ram 1500 Promaster, which had been attempting to evade the oncoming vehicle and ended up in the ditch. The driver of the Ram sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. The Focus continued to travel west in the eastbound lanes until it struck the Ford F100 head-on.

Leonard Schupp, the driver of the F100, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. A 15-year-old passenger was taken to a hospital in the Topeka area with serious injuries. The driver of the Ford Focus was also transported to a Topeka-area hospital with serious injuries.
