Jamie Caldwell Obituary, Death; – The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with murder after a woman died from her injuries Sunday.
54-year-old Edward Christopher Stutey of Supply was originally charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill following an incident on June 29.
The victim of the incident, Jamie Caldwell, died Sunday, prompting the upgraded charge. Stutey was booked into the Brunswick County Detention Center on the day of the original incident where he remains in custody. This case is still under investigation.
