Adam Clinton Wolf Obituary, Death; – The individual suspected of arson and fatally shot by deputies from St. Louis County on Tuesday has been named.

Adam Clinton Wolf, aged 57, was shot and killed in Normanna Township while law enforcement was addressing a reported arson incident.

As per an investigation conducted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, deputies were sent to the 6200 block of Heritage Road at approximately 9:30 a.m. after a man, who was later identified as Wolf, allegedly set fire to his residence and two adjacent homes.

It is reported that Wolf was riding a lawnmower while carrying a rifle-style weapon. A firefighter responding to the scene and a Duluth police officer indicated that they were fired upon.

Upon the arrival of the deputies, Wolf reportedly discharged his weapon at them. The deputies returned fire, resulting in Wolf’s death during the confrontation.

Personnel from the BCA subsequently recovered a firearm resembling a shotgun, spent cartridge casings, and “improvised shotgun-type devices” from a nearby roadway.
The five deputies involved in this incident have all been placed on critical incident leave. Their names are as follows:
