Kevin Scott Cruickshank,May Kwok Obituary, Death; Authorities have confirmed the identities of the cyclist and pedestrian who lost their lives following a collision with a driver near the Manhattan Bridge.
Kevin Scott Cruickshank, aged 55, was riding his bicycle, while 63-year-old May Kwok was on foot when they were tragically struck by a vehicle on Saturday at approximately 7:26 a.m., according to police reports.
Both individuals were located on the median that separates the Manhattan Bridge offramp from Bowery, as stated by law enforcement. Tragically, both Kwok and Cruickshank were declared dead at the scene.
Following the impact with Cruickshank and Kwok, the vehicle subsequently crashed into a parked NYPD van, police reported.
The driver involved in the incident was taken into custody; however, no formal arrests have been made at this time. Reports indicate that the driver was operating a rental vehicle that was overdue. Additionally, one more individual was also taken into custody.
