Elizabeth Goff Obituary, Death; – A woman died after being hit by a car while she was crossing the street on Monday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers were called to the intersection of 32nd Street and Stanford Drive at 7:20 a.m. on Monday due to a crash involving a pedestrian, the department said.
Officers found a seriously injured woman, identified as 65-year-old Elizabeth Goff. She was taken to a nearby hospital and later died.
After investigating, officers learned that Goff was in or near a crosswalk when she was hit.
The driver who hit Goff stayed at the scene. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this crash.
Investigators were working through the crash scene to determine if charges will be filed.
