Robert Dark Obituary, Death;- A second arrest has been made regarding the fatal shooting of Robert Dark at Martin Auto Mart in Bowling Green on June 25.

The Bowling Green Police Department reports that Donald Swain, from Louisville, is a co-conspirator in Dark’s murder. Swain was apprehended in Louisville on July 10.

According to BGPD, Swain faces murder charges and is currently awaiting extradition to Warren County. Details concerning Swain’s involvement have not yet been disclosed. A second co-conspirator, Darris Allen, aged 42, from Bowling Green, was arrested on June 30.

The Bowling Green Police Department responded to a reported shooting at Martin Auto Mart, located at 1001 U.S. 31-W Bypass, at 12:21 p.m. on Wednesday. Upon their arrival, police discovered a deceased male inside the business, later identified as 39-year-old Dark.

Court records indicate that EMS arrived alongside officers and attempted life-saving measures, which were ultimately unsuccessful. Preliminary results from a medical examination confirmed that Dark sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Through their investigation, authorities learned from court documents that Allen was business partners with Dark and others in a local restaurant that has recently closed.

Authorities have stated that surveillance footage from the vicinity shows a suspect entering the business, followed by numerous gunshots, after which the same individual exited the building. The suspect subsequently left the scene in a vehicle, as detailed in the complaint. Court records further indicate that authorities located the suspect’s vehicle, which matched the description from the surveillance footage.

At 11:44 a.m., court records reveal that the vehicle drove down and halted, with a male exiting from the front passenger side. Shortly thereafter, court records indicate that eight shots were fired before the male exited the business and reentered the vehicle, which then departed the area.

BGPD has stated that the case remains open and the investigation is ongoing.
