Shannone R Mitchell Obituary, Death; – Iowa State Patrol identified the woman killed in a Clinton County crash on July 8.
Clinton County deputies arrived at a two-vehicle crash at Highway 136 and 380 Avenue at 1:46 p.m., according to a news release from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
Shannone R. Mitchell, 51, was southbound on 380th Avenue in an Oldsmobile Alero and failed to stop at the stop sign when a Ford Flex driven by Riley Reed, 31, hit the Oldsmobile, according to a crash report from Iowa State Patrol.
Mitchell died despite efforts to save her, officials said. Reed was treated at a local hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening, deputies said.
The crash remains under investigation.
