Guy House Obituary, Death; – Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn has verified the identity of the individual responsible for the shooting that resulted in the deaths of two women at a church in Lexington.
According to a statement from the Coroner’s office, the shooter has been identified as 47-year-old Guy House, who succumbed to a gunshot wound at Richmond Road Baptist Church.
Lexington Police reported that officers were dispatched to a shooting incident involving a KSP trooper on Terminal Drive at approximately 11:40 a.m. at Blue Grass Airport on Sunday.
During a press conference, police disclosed that the suspect, identified as House, was initially stopped because of a license plate alert detected by traffic cameras. He shot the trooper and subsequently fled the scene.
House was tracked to Old Richmond Road, where he exited his vehicle at Richmond Road Baptist Church. Police indicate that he shot four individuals, resulting in the deaths of 72-year-old Beverly Gumm and 32-year-old Christina Combs.
