Office report that Rodney Allen Andersen has been charged with the homicide of his spouse.

 

Officers responded to a residence on Knollwood Street in Annandale shortly before 10 a.m. on September 12, following reports of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, an 83-year-old woman whose identity has not been disclosed, inside the home with life-threatening injuries.

Wright County court documents indicate that Andersen was the individual who first contacted emergency services, claiming to have stabbed his wife with a kitchen knife. During an interview with the police chief, Andersen recounted that he and his wife, whom he wed over 65 years ago in 1958, frequently engaged in arguments. He stated that they had a significant dispute on the morning of the incident prior to the stabbing.

“I suppose I lost my temper,” Andersen remarked to the investigators. He has been processed at the Wright County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder.
