Derrick Maye Obituary, Death; – A shooting incident occurred in the parking lot of a Goldsboro restaurant, resulting in the death of a man on Sunday morning.
At 3:10 AM, law enforcement officers arrived at Summer Nights Dominican Restaurant, situated on E. Ash Street, in response to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found a man, later identified as Derrick Maye, aged 39, who had sustained gunshot wounds in the parking area.
Maye was transported to UNC Health Wayne, where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation is currently ongoing.
