Jerrell Lynwood,Amanda Horner Obituary, Death; – Over three years have passed since a man and a woman were discovered shot dead inside a crashed vehicle, and the Hopewell Police are still seeking answers.
At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, officers from the Hopewell Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of South 13th Avenue and Buren Street.
Upon their arrival, officers found a man and a woman — later identified as 33-year-old Jerrell Lynwood and 35-year-old Amanda Horner, deceased in a wrecked car, as reported by personnel from Hopewell Fire and EMS.
On Thursday, July 10, the Hopewell Police announced that the investigation into the double homicide from 2022 is still active, affirming their commitment to identifying those responsible and ensuring they face justice.
“We are appealing to the community for assistance in identifying and locating the vehicle and individuals connected to this tragic and senseless act of violence. We believe that someone possesses information regarding the events of that night, and we urge the community to step forward so that justice may be achieved.”
