Benjamin Roy Naylor Arrested; – A Burley man facing several murder charges appeared in court on Wednesday and is currently being held without bond.

Benjamin Roy Naylor, aged 56, faces four counts of first-degree murder after allegedly taking the lives of four individuals in Cassia and Minidoka counties. Naylor was arrested on Tuesday during a traffic stop executed by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, with support from the Idaho State Police.

Earlier that afternoon, officers received a 911 call from an individual who found a woman on the floor of a home in Rupert, described as “cold to the touch,” according to a post by the Rupert Police Department on Facebook. Within hours, two more homicide victims were discovered in Cassia County, and a fourth victim was subsequently located in a vehicle in Minidoka County.

The arrest was the result of a coordinated investigation that included the Rupert Police Department, Minidoka County Sheriff’s Office, Cassia County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Heyburn Police Department, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, and Idaho State Police.

“This arrest signifies the collaborative effort of numerous law enforcement agencies working in unison to ensure public safety,” stated Cassia County Prosecuting Attorney McCord Larsen. “We appreciate the prompt response and professional efforts of all officers involved.”

A state public defender has been assigned to represent Naylor in both the Cassia and Minidoka cases. Further details regarding the alleged offenses are scarce, as the criminal complaint and probable cause document were sealed as of Wednesday afternoon.

“Our offices are dedicated to collaborating in the pursuit of justice for the victims and their families,” remarked Minidoka County Prosecuting Attorney Lance Stevenson. “This partnership guarantees that we can offer the necessary resources and expertise to manage a case of this scale.”

Authorities have not disclosed the names of the victims; however, a GoFundMe account indicates that two of them, Kelly and Donna Jenks, were described as “loving parents, devoted grandparents and cherished friends.”
