Dr Noel Liu Obituary, Death; – The coroner of LaSalle County has confirmed the identity of the individual who tragically lost their life in a recent skydiving incident as Dr. Noel Liu, hailing from East Peoria.

At 48 years of age, this dental entrepreneur was a co-founder of Secure Dental and DentVia, alongside his spouse, Dr. Nazish Jafri.

Jafri took to social media to announce the news of Liu’s passing. His Facebook post has received over 130 comments, with numerous individuals expressing their condolences for this unexpected loss. “He led a life filled with fulfillment and satisfaction, consistently chasing his passions with both enthusiasm and bravery,” Jafri noted in part.

“Noel impacted the lives of many through his kindness and zeal, leaving behind treasured memories that will be held dear forever. He was a remarkable father, husband, son, brother, and mentor to countless individuals.”

On July 7, LaSalle County Coroner Richard Ploch was summoned to Skydive Chicago in Ottawa following Liu’s demise. A forensic investigative autopsy was performed the next day. Preliminary findings are still awaited, as stated by Ploch, and additional testing may also be necessary.

The coroner, along with the LaSalle County Sheriff’s office, is actively continuing the review and investigation of the skydiving event. As per a news release, assistance is being provided by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
