Charles Rucker Arrested; – A man has been identified as a suspect in a shooting incident in Southeast D.C. that resulted in the death of a three-year-old girl.
The police have not yet apprehended him and are seeking assistance from the public in locating the suspect. Authorities are on the lookout for 24-year-old Charles Rucker, who resides in Southeast D.C. He is wanted for first-degree murder while armed.
According to the police, the initial investigation indicated that at least one suspect opened fire in the area, hitting a parked vehicle where the girl was sitting with her family members. Officers arrived at the 1000 block of 14th Street, Southeast shortly after 3 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, following a report of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 3-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body. D.C. Fire and EMS were called to the scene and transported the girl to a local hospital, where she received treatment for critical injuries.
