Robert David Connolly Jr Obituary, Death; – A 24-year-old man from Wallingford lost his life following a collision on Guntown Road in Oxford on Tuesday evening, as reported by state police.
State police indicated that troopers were dispatched to the 400 block of Guntown Road, where Wallingford police had discovered a missing individual related to an ongoing case in their jurisdiction, according to a news release from Connecticut State Police on Wednesday.
The individual was identified as Robert David Connolly, Jr., according to state police.
At the location, officers located a 2001 Honda motorcycle approximately 20 feet down an embankment and into a wooded area on the southbound side of Guntown Road. State police reported that Connolly had been thrown from his motorcycle due to the collision and succumbed to his injuries.
The Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Squad of state police is currently investigating the incident. As of early Wednesday, the details surrounding the open case in Wallingford remained unclear.
