Chelsea Wilson Obituary, Death; – A tragic incident unfolded on a Louisiana highway Monday afternoon when a single-vehicle accident resulted in the death of a 36-year-old woman.
As reported by Trooper First Class Matt Gaspard from the Public Affairs Section of State Police, the accident occurred on U.S. Highway 190 close to Bornsdall Road.
The accident claimed the life of a woman hailing from Eunice. Preliminary investigations indicate that she was driving along U.S. Highway 190 at approximately 3 PM on Monday, July 7, when her vehicle veered off the road. Authorities have stated that the cause of the vehicle’s departure from the westbound lane of Highway 190 remains unknown.
Gaspard noted that as the car left the roadway, it collided with a tree. He further mentioned that the victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time and sustained critical injuries. She was declared dead at the scene by the coroner and has been identified as Chelsea Wilson from Eunice.
The incident took place in the Elton region of Jeff Davis Parish. In accordance with standard procedure following a fatal accident, a toxicology sample was collected from the victim for laboratory analysis.
