Anassia Wiseman Obituary, Death; – A woman who was fatally shot while in a vehicle on a Minneapolis interstate has been officially identified as a 24-year-old resident of St. Paul, according to reports released on Tuesday.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Anassia Wiseman succumbed to a gunshot wound to her head at the hospital on June 25. She and another woman were shot while traveling westbound on Interstate 394 near Penn Avenue.

Following the shooting, both women managed to reach the hospital. Police received a report of the incident around 10:40 p.m. on June 22. The second woman sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, as stated by the police.

“Two families have had their lives forever changed by gun violence,” remarked Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara in a statement. “One of those families held onto hope for their loved one’s recovery, only to face further tragedy when that hope was extinguished. Our investigators are committed to ensuring that her family does not lose hope that those responsible will be held accountable.”

As of Tuesday morning, no arrests had been made, and the police indicated that their investigation is still active. They urge anyone with information to reach out via email at policetips@minneapolismn.gov or by calling 612-673-5845, or to contact CrimeStoppers anonymously at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
