Thomas Wayne Dick Obituary, Death; – Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones has announced that a murder investigation is currently in progress following the shooting death of a 35-year-old man overnight on Sunday.
Sheriff Jones stated that just prior to 1:30 a.m. on July 6, officers were dispatched to a residence on Garland Road in response to reports of an individual who had been shot.
Upon their arrival, authorities discovered the victim, identified as Thomas Wayne Dick from Indiana, suffering from a gunshot wound. It was later confirmed that he had succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, 35-year-old Anthony Scott Emerson from Ohio has been charged with murder.
Authorities report that Emerson allegedly contacted Pulaski 911 Dispatch to inform them of the shooting, claiming that he shot Dick during a confrontation.
Currently, Emerson is being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center with a bond set at $1 million.
