Edward Walker Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who lost his life in a collision this past Saturday in North Austin as 63-year-old Edward Walker.

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 12:30 a.m., law enforcement officials responded to an incident involving two vehicles and a pedestrian in the 13000 block of N IH35 NB SVRD.

As reported by the Austin Police Department, a pickup truck struck Walker, which was subsequently followed by a sedan. Walker was declared deceased at the scene. The drivers of the vehicles involved remained at the location and were not impaired, fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

This event is currently being treated as Austin’s 48th fatal crash of 2025, contributing to a total of 52 fatalities. On the same date in 2024, there were 37 fatal crashes resulting in 38 deaths. Anyone possessing information regarding this incident is encouraged to reach out to the APD’s Vehicular Homicide Unit at 512-974-8111.
