Rebekah Guilford Obituary, Death; – A woman from Lincoln lost her life, and two additional individuals were involved in a crash on Sunday afternoon in Saunders County, according to officials.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., deputies arrived at the scene of a multi-vehicle accident with several injuries on Highway 79, located about two miles north of Prague, as reported by the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators indicated that a gray Honda Civic, operated by 25-year-old Rebekah Guilford, was heading north on Highway 79 when it crossed the center line, attempted to correct its path, and subsequently collided with the front of a black Lincoln MKZ that was traveling south on Highway 79.

Deputies confirmed that Guilford was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lincoln, 45-year-old Enereo Cervantes from Columbus, was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital with multiple injuries, as stated by officials.

Deputies also reported that a passenger in the Lincoln was taken to a local hospital with multiple injuries. According to investigators, seat belts were being used, and there is no suspicion that alcohol played a role in the crash.
