Brian Bowlds Obituary, Death; – The death of a mountain biker on a trail near Clear Creek on Saturday is under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Preliminary reports indicate the rider, identified as 68-year-old Brian Bowlds, may have fallen while on the trail. Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies and members of the Sheriff’s Search & Rescue Team responded at around 3:50 p.m. to a location about three miles up from the trailhead off Jacks Valley Road.
Emergency responders confirmed Bowlds was deceased at the scene. The official cause of death has not yet been determined. According to public documents, Bowlds has lived in the Johnson Lane neighborhood for more than 20 years.
