Johnny Noviello Obituary, Death; – The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced on Wednesday that a man born in Canada passed away while in its custody.

As per a news release from ICE, 49-year-old Johnny Noviello was declared dead by Miami Fire Rescue on Monday afternoon. The cause of death is currently under investigation. According to the Florida Department of Corrections database, Noviello’s last known verified address was at an ICE facility in Miami.

During his time in the United States, Noviello encountered law enforcement. In 2023, Noviello was convicted of several drug-related offenses in Volusia County. On May 15, he was apprehended by ICE and charged with removability due to his conviction for violating state laws or regulations concerning controlled substances.

An ICE report regarding the in-custody death will be released to the public within 90 days. Noviello entered the United States on January 2, 1988, with legal visa status, and became a lawful permanent resident on October 24, 1991.
