Michael Tarail Bright Obituary, Death; – A 48-year-old man from Fort Wayne has been confirmed as the individual who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday night.
According to the Allen County Coroner’s Office, Michael Tarail Bright succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries. The determination of his manner of death is still pending.
The Fort Wayne police arrived at the location near the intersection of West Paulding Road and Calhoun Street around 10 p.m. on Saturday. The Fort Wayne Police Department reported receiving conflicting information, with some reports indicating a “person down” and others suggesting that an individual had been shot in the street.
Subsequently, police established that Bright had not been shot; instead, he was a victim of a hit-and-run incident.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
