James Hobbs Obituary, Death; – The individual who lost his life in a rollover car accident on I-95 in Attleboro on Sunday evening has been identified as a 69-year-old man from Boston, as reported by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
James Hobbs, a resident of Dorchester, was fatally injured in the single-vehicle incident, according to a press release issued by the district attorney’s office on Monday.
Firefighters from Attleboro responded to the scene of the crash at approximately 7:25 p.m. on June 15, as previously stated by the Attleboro Fire Department. Upon arrival, they discovered that Hobbs’ gray Toyota Corolla had overturned onto its side and had come to a stop in the woods adjacent to I-95.
Hobbs was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident; however, he was found unconscious and trapped inside, as reported by the fire department. Firefighters utilized extrication tools to rescue him from the Corolla.
Paramedics administered CPR to Hobbs and transported him by ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, but he was subsequently pronounced dead, according to the fire department. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash.
