Jere Charginghawk Obituary, Death; – On Monday, law enforcement officials identified the pedestrian who was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle in north Lincoln over the weekend. The incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 12:30 a.m. close to North 27th Street and Cornhusker Highway.
According to police reports, Jere Charginghawk, aged 44, was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a nearby establishment. By the time the officers arrived at the scene, the vehicle involved had already fled, as stated by the Lincoln Police Department.
Charginghawk succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities believe that alcohol or drugs did not contribute to the incident, and an investigation is currently underway. At this moment, no arrests or citations have been issued.
