Austin Montgomery McKee Obituary, Death; – The Anderson County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a man who lost his life in a truck accident that occurred in May.

According to the coroner, Anderson County 911 received a notification regarding a damaged truck in Honea Path at approximately 11:30 p.m. on May 31.

Emergency responders discovered a truck that had overturned on a bridge on Due West Road, descended an embankment, and came to rest in a creek on its roof, as reported by the coroner.

The individual was transported to AnMed Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries on June 5 at 11:28 a.m., as stated by the coroner.

The coroner has identified the deceased as 26-year-old Austin Montgomery McKee, a resident of Travelers Rest. The cause of death was determined to be anoxic brain injury resulting from multiple traumatic injuries, and the manner of death was classified as accidental.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol, along with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, is actively pursuing their investigation.
