Patrick David Hatcher Obituary, Death; – The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office identified Monday the man killed in an officer-involved shooting in Summerville over the weekend.
Patrick David Hatcher, 61, of Summerville, was shot and killed Saturday around 8:18 p.m. in his mobile home by Summerville police while investigating a call, according to Coroner Paul Brouthers. The shooting, reported by ABC News 4 Sunday morning, was previously not known to be fatal.
Hatcher was pronounced dead at the scene ay 9:18 p.m. The body is scheduled to undergo an autopsy on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Medical University of South Carolina.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office are 0investigating the shooting.
