Carlos Claros,Guillermo Serrano Jr Obituary, Death; – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the second man who was killed following a fight that escalated into a shooting outside a bar on the North Side.

Carlos Claros, aged 31, succumbed to gunshot injuries, as reported by the medical examiner’s office on Friday. His death has been classified as a homicide.

On Wednesday, the medical examiner’s office also verified the identity of the other victim. Guillermo Serrano Jr., aged 45, also died from gunshot wounds. Law enforcement officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, outside LUNA Live Music Bar, situated at 6740 San Pedro Ave.

Upon their arrival, SAPD officers discovered a deceased male in his 40s or 50s. Authorities indicated that another man was located with a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital, where he subsequently passed away.

It remains unclear which individual was which. At the crime scene, police indicated that a confrontation occurred in the parking lot of the bar involving a group of women, and it is believed that the two deceased may have shot each other.

However, a preliminary report from SAPD on Monday stated that the suspected shooter had fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. The connection between the two deceased men is not known, according to police. Currently, law enforcement has not disclosed whether the individuals involved in the shooting were patrons of the bar.

A spokesperson for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission previously informed KSAT that the agency has initiated an investigation into the shooting incident. “In addition to that investigation, there is an ongoing inquiry dating back to August 2024 concerning allegations of allowing alcohol consumption during prohibited hours,” the spokesperson stated. There are no updates available from either investigation at this time.
