Erik Mewborn Obituary, Death; – The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has disclosed the identity of the individual who lost his life in a shooting incident that occurred in Northeast D.C. on Saturday. In a recent update, authorities have confirmed the victim as 44-year-old Erik Mewborn, a resident of Northeast D.C.
On September 14, at approximately 5 a.m., D.C. police officers were dispatched in response to a report of an individual lying on the ground in the 2200 block of Adams Place. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered Mewborn with a gunshot wound.
D.C. Fire and EMS were summoned; however, they found no signs of life, and he was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation remains active.
