King Blake Obituary, Death; – An inquiry persisted on Thursday regarding a pedestrian who lost his life due to a collision with a vehicle from the sheriff’s department in Jurupa Valley.
King Blake, an 18-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley, was tragically hit shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday on Limonite Avenue, just east of Camino Real, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.
A deputy from the Jurupa Valley station, whose name has not been revealed, was traveling east on Limonite Avenue in a Ford Explorer belonging to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department when the SUV collided with Blake, who was walking on the road, according to CHP Officer Javier Navarro. It remains unclear whether the vehicle was responding to an emergency call with its lights and siren activated.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. The Riverside Coroner’s office confirmed Blake’s identity as the victim on Tuesday. The inquiry is still in progress.
