Jason A. Simon Obituary, Death; – The Schenectady Police Department has confirmed the identity of the motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a collision on Thursday. Jason A. Simon, a 28-year-old resident of Schenectady, succumbed to injuries sustained when the motorcycle he was riding collided with another vehicle, as reported in a police news release.

Authorities responded to the incident at approximately 6:31 p.m. near the intersection of Brandywine Avenue and Stanford Street, where they discovered Simon in a critical state. He received immediate medical attention from paramedics of the Schenectady Fire Department and was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to police reports. Preliminary findings indicate that the accident was attributed to Simon’s failure to adhere to a stop sign. No criminal charges have been brought against the other driver, who was operating their vehicle at a safe speed and had the right of way. At this moment, police have stated that no additional information is available.
