Tequila Parker Obituary, Death; – D.C. police are actively seeking a 20-year-old male in relation to a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a woman in Southeast earlier this week.

The Metropolitan Police Department has stated that Mercury Ford, aged 20, from Southeast, is wanted under an arrest warrant for first-degree murder while armed, linked to the shooting that occurred on May 27, which claimed the life of Tequila Parker, aged 32, also from Southeast.

Shortly after 12:45 p.m. on that day, officers arrived at the 2300 block of Pitts Place SE following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a woman, later identified as Parker, who had sustained gunshot wounds.

She was found unresponsive and not breathing, and despite attempts to save her, she was declared dead at the scene. During a press conference on Tuesday, MPD Chief Pamela Smith indicated that Parker had been involved in a prolonged dispute with a neighbor, which escalated on Tuesday, culminating in a physical altercation.

Just prior to the shooting, a man and a woman pursued Parker down the street. Chief Smith reported that it was at this moment that the man shot and killed her. Authorities are urging anyone with information about Ford’s location to contact (202) 727-9099 or send a text tip to 50411.

The MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for each homicide that occurs within the District.
