Brayden Raul Gomez Arrested; – A man is facing charges for allegedly murdering a Lyft driver early Saturday morning in the vicinity of Panama City Beach.
“Deputies arrived to discover a victim lying in the road with a gunshot wound,” stated Ruth Corley, spokesperson for the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. She refrained from publicly naming the deceased individual but confirmed that he was a Lyft driver, associated with a ride-sharing service.
Corley indicated that the authorities quickly identified the suspect as Brayden Raul Gomez, a 17-year-old resident of Bay County, who is charged with an Open Count of Murder. Corley mentioned that the incident took place around 2:30 a.m. on Wildwood Road, located on the west side of Hathaway Bridge. Gomez’s booking photograph was not available at the time.
