Jose Spoonemore Obituary, Death;- A 23-year-old man was fatally struck by a truck early Friday morning while he was walking along the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Long Beach.
California Highway Patrol officers received a call at 12:03 a.m. Friday regarding the incident on the northbound side of the freeway near the Wardlow Road exit, where they discovered the pedestrian, as reported by CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig to City News Service.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene by personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified him as Jose Spoonemore.
Officer Kravig stated that the CHP issued a SigAlert, resulting in the closure of three lanes on the northbound Long Beach Freeway near the Wardlow Road exit for three hours while the circumstances surrounding the collision were examined.
