Jyrah Smith Obituary, Death; – A woman lost her life following a shooting incident that occurred Friday morning at an apartment complex in South Memphis, according to police reports.
The Memphis Police Department stated that officers were dispatched just before 6 a.m. to the apartments located on Georgia Avenue, near South Danny Thomas Boulevard, in response to a report of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered that a woman had succumbed to her injuries from the shooting.
The father of the deceased woman identified her to Newschain as 23-year-old Jyrah Smith. She is survived by three children, all aged between one and six years, as per her father’s account. Newschain has contacted the Memphis Police Department for additional information regarding the circumstances that led to this tragic shooting.
