Cadet Mike Garjales Obituary, Death; 19-year-old PBSO cadet identified as motorcyclist killed in Boynton Beach crash

Cadet Mike Garjales Obituary, Death; – The 19-year-old who was killed in the Boynton Beach crash was identified as a cadet with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO). In a statement from PBSO, Cadet Mike Garjales served in the Training Division, Field Training Unit.

“His dedication and bright spirit will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this extremely difficult time. Rest in peace, Mike,” PBSO said in its statement. On May 16, at about 6:30 p.m., the Boynton Beach Police Department (BBPD) responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle crash near North Congress Avenue. Police say the crash resulted in the death of Grajales.

BBPD’s investigation revealed, Grajales was heading north on Congress Avenue. Around the same time, there was a vehicle heading west on Renaissance Way. At some point, the driver of the vehicle attempted to turn left to travel south on Congress Avenue.

The 19-year-old attempted to avoid a collision, but unfortunately, the motorcycle and vehicle crashed. Grajales was transported to Delray Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to the crash report. BBPD says the investigation is ongoing.
