Corey Carter Obituary, Death; – The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who perished in a motorcycle accident over the weekend. Corey Carter, aged 40, from Steward, was traveling west on W. Lane Road at approximately 6:15 p.m. on May 10, when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.
Emergency responders reported that Carter succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A GoFundMe campaign initiated by family and friends indicates that Carter was departing Rock Cut State Park after taking prom photographs with his daughter.
