Altus Barnett Obituary, Death; – Authorities report that a man from Oklahoma City and two children lost their lives in a collision involving a semi-trailer over the weekend on Interstate 35 in Goldsby. According to a collision report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, involving a 1996 Honda Accord and a Mack semi-trailer on the northbound lane of I-35.
The driver of the Honda, along with two boys aged 8 and 12, were declared dead at the scene. The report further indicates that a 35-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy were transported to hospitals in Oklahoma City, where they are currently in stable condition. The deceased driver has been identified as 56-year-old Altus Barnett from Oklahoma City, while the names of the boys have not been disclosed due to their ages. The driver of the semi-trailer was taken to a hospital in Norman for treatment and has since been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
