Sherri Lynn Lazore Obituary, Death; – Tupelo law enforcement apprehended an individual in relation to the homicide of his mother. Authorities reported that officers responded to a welfare check in the Villages subdivision near Coley Road on April 29. Upon arrival, they engaged with a person at the location and found a deceased individual.
The Daily Journal identified the victim as Sherri Lynn Lazore, aged 62, who had reportedly been assaulted with a shovel. The suspect, identified as Joshua D. Lazore, 30, was taken into custody and brought to the Tupelo Police Department for further interrogation. He subsequently faced a charge of first-degree murder. During his preliminary court hearing on April 30, Lazore was remanded without bail. The case is set to be reviewed by the Lee County Grand Jury.
