Anthony Hearns,Isiah Mack Obituary, Death; – Law enforcement is actively pursuing those accountable following a motorcycle event in Forest Park that resulted in fatalities on Sunday evening. Investigators reported that gunfire erupted shortly before 5 p.m. within a business located at 5246 Jones Road, near Old Dixie Highway.
Upon arrival, officers observed numerous motorcycles departing the area at high speeds. Approximately 150 to 200 individuals were present at the motorcycle club, which police indicated was operating without the necessary license, when a verbal dispute escalated into gunfire. Currently, no arrests have been made. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage, and officers are meticulously examining the scene.
Police have not provided descriptions of the suspects or indicated how many individuals they are seeking in relation to the shooting. Forest Park Mayor Angelyne Butler issued a statement denouncing the violence: ‘First, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to all those who were impacted by the recent shooting incident that occurred during the afternoon hours of Sunday, April 27. What transpired yesterday is not only tragic — it is an affront to everything we stand for in Forest Park.
Those responsible for this senseless violence will be found, prosecuted, and removed from our community. We will not allow criminals to believe they have any place in our city. Forest Park is a community built on principles.’ According to Forest Park police, two individuals were found deceased at the scene, identified as Anthony Hearns and Isiah Mack. During a news conference on Monday, Forest Park Police Chief Brandon Criss stated that Hearns and Mack were not residents of Forest Park, with Hearns visiting from Philadelphia.
Two additional individuals sustained injuries and are in critical condition, though their names are not being released at this time. ‘We will not tolerate such behavior. Crime has decreased by over 50% in recent years here in the city of Forest Park. The area where this incident occurred is typically a quiet neighborhood.
