Derrick D Harris,Devantel Strickland Obituary, Death; – The two individuals who lost their lives in a shooting incident in the South Shore neighborhood on Sunday morning have been named.
According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, they are 31-year-old Derrick D. Harris and 37-year-old Devantel Strickland, both residents of Chicago.
Authorities discovered the two men around 2:40 a.m. in the 7200 block of South Paxton Avenue. Both Harris and Strickland were found with multiple gunshot wounds and were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, as reported by the police.
Additionally, a third victim, a 24-year-old male, was located by law enforcement and had suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm. He was subsequently transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center and is reported to be in good condition.
Currently, no suspects are in custody.
