Ross R Nelson,Raimi A Rundle Obituary, Death; –The Coles County Coroner’s Office has identified the individuals who lost their lives in a small plane crash that occurred near Mattoon on Saturday.
As reported by the Illinois State Police, the deceased are 46-year-old Ross R. Nelson, 45-year-old Raimi A. Rundle, 36-year-old Courtney L. Morrow, and 48-year-old Michael H. Morrow.
All four individuals hailed from Menomonie, Wisconsin, and were declared dead at the scene. Authorities indicated that the crash took place shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday, near 500 County Road 1400 North in Trilla, roughly three miles south of Mattoon. The single-engine aircraft came down on a roadway, as per official reports.
The plane remained on the roadway until around 5 p.m. on Sunday while the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and other agencies conducted their investigation. The roadway was closed during this period. The Federal Aviation Administration and the NTSB are continuing their inquiries into the incident, according to officials.
