Letaris Demonds-Lapri Franklin Obituary, Death; – A 27-year-old man was fatally shot in North Birmingham on Thursday.
According to investigators, an individual went to an apartment complex on 29th Avenue North to check on a family member who had not been in contact for a while. After gaining entry to the apartment, authorities reported that the individual found the family member, Letaris Demonds-Lapri Franklin, deceased from a gunshot wound.
Birmingham police received multiple reports on Wednesday night about gunfire in the vicinity. Officers responded and conducted a search of the complex but found no signs of any incident. This has led investigators to conclude that the shooting likely took place that night, with the victim’s body not being discovered until Thursday morning.
