Derrick Carson III Obituary, Death; – A man from Mobile was convicted of murder on Thursday during a bench trial, as confirmed by a court official. Mobile County Circuit Court Judge Brandy Hambright declared Victor Aaron Roland, 28, guilty of murdering Derrick Carson III, 19, in July 2021.
As reported earlier, Mobile police were dispatched to a call regarding an individual lying on the ground on July 3, 2021, at approximately 9 p.m. in the 1100 block of Middle Ring Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man, later identified as Carson, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries from the shooting.
Roland is scheduled to be sentenced on May 11.
